Introducing New Designer - Angela Webster!
I grew up in the Houston TX area but now live in and work as a structural engineer Oklahoma City. My mom got me started with cross stitching when I was in grade school. Along the way, I've added other fiber arts like knitting, crochet, sewing, and quilting. I love any chance I can to be creative!
I grew up in church, but wasn't actually saved until I was in college at a retreat for Campus Crusade for Christ. I just felt the need to go off by myself, have a huge talk with Jesus, and ask Him to forgive me of my sins and be my Savior! The most amazing thing happened the next morning- I looked in the mirror and literally saw a new creation in myself. God never ceases to amaze me in His goodness.
I also LOVE music. I've played piano since I was in first grade, French horn in school (I play at church now). I picked up violin and viola about 8 years ago and play with an adult orchestra in the city.
My design inspiration is derived from the graphic arts, working my favorite scriptures into word art. I love making beautiful art out of God's word and inspirational messages I hold close to my heart. Sandra has given me a unique and wonderful opportunity to share designs with the stitching community.

This is actually the very first chart I made. I was inspired by your "Prince of Peace", chart and wanted to make my own from this scripture.

You would need half a yard (Fat Quarter) for this design. Customer Photos... Stitched by Stephanie Ison who enjoys changing up floss colors. Did you know that I didn't even know I could do cross-stitch like this before Quarantine? I only started it because I had to keep my hands busy after my sewing machine broke and everything was closed. And it took off. I call it 'my pandemic gift'. Thanks so much. Jane |
